Corporate Profile

MKA Advisors, established in Tokyo in May 2021, provides M&A advisory services in line with client's business strategy and corporate growth. We operate an M&A advisory platform (M.A.P.) to promote the digitization of labor-intensive M&A advisory services, improving the transparency and convenience of M&A transactions and proceeding with M&A deals by clients. Our M&A advisory expertise and experiences are based on competitive advantages while M.A.P. is placed as a part of our services. We plan to challenge digitalization of not only M&A advisory business but also other investment banking businesses in the future.

Our Team

Akira Onishi | President and CEO

After engaged in investment banking businesses for 20 years at Daiwa Securities and Citigroup, he established MKA Advisors in May 2021.

His track records includes more than 40 transactions, including M&A, IPO and equity/debt finances for hundreds of US$ millions to over US$ 1 billion per deal.

Through many projects, we realize that traditional labor-intensive operation makes investment banking businesses cumbersome, inefficient and untransparent and strongly believe that the digitization of investment banking operations could innovate execution efficiency, improve working environment, increase the transparency and the fairness of projects, enhance client services and save advisory costs. Based on the expertise, experiences and networks in the investment banking, we launched M&A Advisory Platform (M.A.P.) in 2022 as the first step and would challenge to develop the new investment banking business with innovative digital technologies.
